BEHIND THE LENS
Hi there! I'm Kelly, a wedding + portrait photographer based in Northern Virginia. I am also a wife to my best friend and momma to two sweet little girls. Year after year, I am fortunate to meet many amazing couples and families (and often, see them grow)! Whether it's your wedding or a family session, my goal is to provide classic and beautiful photos that perfectly capture your dynamic and make you smile each time you see them.
What is the best thing that's ever happened to you?
Ok - get ready for my cliche answer. But bar none, meeting my husband! He is truly my best friend and I'm so grateful for the life we've built together! Our girls are my whole world and I never dreamt we'd be here when he asked me to marry him in 2016.
What was your favorite part of last year?
My parents, husband and I took my girls to Disney in December and it was my favorite trip to date. Seeing their eyes light up around all of the Disney magic was indescribable. They were so cute and so much fun - it was just the sweetest trip that I will never forget!
What is your most used emoji?
The little smiley face with the hearts around it.
What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given?
My dad has always said to "open the door" and I can't tell you how many times in my life I've been glad I did!
If you could travel anywhere, where would it be?
I would love to do a trip to Scotland and Ireland - they are both so beautiful!
What is one thing you wish you had more time for?
Reading and travel! I love to read and will finish an entire book in one sitting if I have the chance! Especially by the pool. I would also love to travel more - I'm looking forward to traveling with our girls as they get a bit older.
